Derek Steveson,
PT, DPT
A native of northern Iowa, Derek is the founder
and owner of The Functional Performance Center.
Notably, he has served as the Official
Rehabilitation Consultant for the AZ Diamondbacks
from 2001 - 2007. He specializes in foot and ankle
biomechanics and remarkably, has prescribed

Derek received his Doctoral Degree in Physical
Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha,
Nebraska, in 1996. As a Faculty Member at
the Gray
Institute of Functional Transformation, Derek
frequently lectures
across the country on various topics related
to Functional Biomechanics. He also enjoys
staying involved with the community
as a member of the Medical Advisory Board
for the Valley of the Sun YMCA and working
with youth to professional athletes of all

Mark D'Aloisio,
PT, MPT
Originally from Ontario, Canada, Mark received
his Masters in Physical Therapy from Wayne
State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Mark takes a biomechanical approach to assessment
and rehabilitation for athletes of all ages
and sports. Mark performs running
assessments for the Center's clients and
is an ASTYM™ Certified
Rehabilitation Clinician.
During college, Mark played football and
was a member of the Windsor AKO Fratmen team
that won the 1999 CJFL National Championship.
Since moving to the valley, Mark has taken
up the sport of triathlon.

Kyle Herrig,
MS, ATC, CSCS
Originally from Iowa, Kyle is a Certified
Athletic Trainer who assists with the exercise
prescription and rehabilitation programs of
patients. He received his Bachelors Degree
and Masters Degree in Exercise Science from
Iowa State University and Utah State University
respectively, while assisting Division I athletes
with prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation
of injuries. Kyle now designs and implements
functional training
programs for individuals and athletes of all
levels.
In his spare time, Kyle stays active and
competitive by participating in the sport
of triathlon, football, mountain biking, and
various other activities.
